Unable to attend due to snow or other commitments were Keith Cruickshank, Anona Hughson and Linda Ratter, who are ready for their Award of Excellence; Shona Dawson, Vikki Johnson and Amy Ross who would have been receiving their 100 hour Award; Sarah Breimann, Laura Guthrie, Bryan Irvine and Sonya Shearer who would all have collected their 50 hour Award.  We hope that many of these young people will be able to attend the next event instead.

After the formal presentation of awards and certificates volunteers and their friends and families enjoyed music provided by Victoria Laurenson and Astrid Jamieson playing as the Victoria Laurenson Band, with refreshments prepared by the Hay’s Dock Café Restaurant.  Volunteer Centre Shetland would like to thank all the staff at the Shetland Museum and Archives and Restaurant for helping to make the event such a success, Sandy Cluness for presenting the Awards, Victoria and Astrid for their music, Stevie Hook for helping with the sounds and Roy Longmuir for taking these photographs.
