To ensure the safety of our support workers and clients during the COVID-19 pandemic the face to face support service has been suspended.  Where possible, existing clients have been offered telephone support.  For all new enquiries, please email: and the Project Coordinator will respond as soon as possible.  The office telephone will not be checked on a regular basis at this time.  Market House remains closed to the public until 20th July.   Equipment is being purchased to enable the service to offer online support via Zoom.  This will be available once support workers have completed training.  Government guidance on the COVID-19 situation is changing rapidly - please check this page for any updates on our service.

Shetland Bereavement Support Service works with local and national service providers, funders and with the local community to promote awareness and good practice in bereavement care in Shetland by providing information, training and education. Through our specially trained volunteers we seek to offer accessible and sustainable support to any individual in Shetland who is experiencing a bereavement with the aim that no one in Shetland finds themselves alone and struggling with their grief.
