Welcome to the home page of the Shetland CAB website.  This site sets out details of our services, how we are organised and the background to CAB. We also have a page about volunteering for the bureau.

We exist to provide free, confidential, impartial and independent advice. You can access our services by visiting the bureau during one of our drop-in sessions in Lerwick (Market House) or see an adviser at our health centre drop-ins in Unst, Yell, Whalsay, Hillswick, Brae, Walls, Bixter and Levenwick.

Contact the main bureau for information on our outreach timetable or check on our Facebook page - Facebook - Shetland CAB.

Where to find us

We are located at Market House in Lerwick. The bureau entrance is located at the rear of Market House - look for our signs. We are accessible to those with limited mobility.   Home visits may be possible for those unable to come to the bureau.

If your enquiry is urgent, we will help you as soon as we can.

We will be closed from 12:30pm Friday 21st December 2018.
We will then reopen at 9:30am Monday 7th January 2019.

Free online advice is always available at

We hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year.
