The Volunteer Centre Network offers a range of Volunteer Development Scotland learning opportunities to help organisations and practitioners to develop good practice and address issues in working with and managing volunteers. Learning opportunities are aligned to national quality standards, and best practice in working with and managing volunteers in a variety of settings. Learning opportunities for practitioners and volunteers are offered at introductory, intermediate and advanced levels. We also have courses on offer for volunteer committees and other voluntary organisations on 'Employing Staff' and 'Organisational Structures'.

If you are a volunteer and need training to be able to volunteer better or more safely or you are a volunteer manager who needs training on how to manage more effectively, then we would like to hear from you.

Although all these courses are free, please note that we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee where courses are booked but not taken up. Please let us know in plenty of time if you cannot come.
