Fundraising & Donations        

As a charity, SBSS is reliant upon fundraising and donations.  The service is free to all clients, and therefore income has to be sourced from fundraising events, funding bodies, delivery of training courses and donations.  We appreciate all donations, and thank you's are very important.

Donations

If you would like to make a donation, please visit our Justgiving page by clicking on the logo at the top of the page.  It's quick, secure and simple to use.  You can even set up a recurring monthly direct debit.  

Text donations can easily be made.  Just text SBSS14£5 to 70070.  The amount can be changed eg SBSS14£2 or SBSS14£10  

Nominate SBSS as your chosen charity!

If you are planning an event, then please choose SBSS as your preferred charity.  

Through our Justgiving page, you can set up a dedicated page for your event and tell people what you are doing and why.  There is a section for people to make donations securely online and also to leave messages of support for your event.  It also keeps track of all donations and the running total.   Gift Aid can also be claimed.  It really is simple to set up and use, just click the logo at the top of the page and get started.  Please contact SBSS if you require any further information, we'd love to hear from you, sbss@shetland.org or 01595 743912.

Do you need charity boxes and leaflets?

No problem!  Tell us about your event and SBSS can supply collection boxes and leaflets to make your fundraising that bit easier.

Want to support a local charity?

All money donated to SBSS stays in Shetland and is used to deliver the service to local people.  

Why not donate to SBSS if you're not giving Christmas cards this year?  

Wedding favours or Memory tokens

SBSS has beautiful pin badges that can be used as wedding favours, please email sbss@shetland.org if you would like a sample; or as Memory tokens at a funeral/anniversary/gathering.  Please contact SBSS for more information.
