ASIST Suicide Prevention Training
The two day ASIST training aims to help people become more ready, willing and able to intervene with someone who is at immediate risk of suicide. Participants will learn to:
- recognise invitations to help
- reach out and offer support
- review the risk of suicide
- apply a suicide intervention model
- link people with community resources

Safetalk At the end of this two and a half hour workshop you will be better able to
- move beyond common tendencies to miss, dismiss or avoid suicide
- identify people who have thoughts of suicide
- apply the TALK steps (Tell, Ask, Listen and KeepSafe)

Scottish Mental Health First Aid (SMHFA) is designed to help equip people with the ability to offer help in a mental health crisis situation. Participants will learn how to:
- ask about suicide
- recognise the signs of mental health problems
- provide initial help
- guide a person to appropriate help

Self-harm Awareness Session The 1-day self harm awareness course is designed to standardise understanding and responses to self harm in order to deliver appropriate and safe services across diverse working sectors. Participants will have the opportunity to
- gain a better understanding of self harm
- look at how we can respond to self harm
- discuss some of the issues for us as workers

We can also offer a two hour awareness-raising session fro staff groups
Work in schools
