Marie Fullerton Running for Disability Shetland, Moving on Employment and COPE

Marie Fullerton is running Copenhagen Marathon on Sunday 20th May 2012, followed by Edinburgh Marathon, exactly one week after, on Sunday 27th May 2012.  Marie has run the Edinburgh marathon once before, back in 2008 and raised a considerable amount of money for CLAN house in Aberdeen.  This time round, she is hoping to raise funds for 3 Charities based on the island, one being ‘Disability Shetland’.  Marie’s aim is to raise at least £700 for each of her chosen charities and chose ‘Disability Shetland’ after recently taking up a post as Social Care worker.  Marie says it was only when she took up this post, that she realized, just how much work this particular Charity does for Shetland, by planning activities to support disabled people of all ages, to enable them to realize their full potential in life.  Marie feels that it is a very worthwhile charity to have on the island and therefore, would like to run the 52 miles within the space of one week, to raise as much money as she can to help this charity to keep up the good work that they do.

If you would like to sponsor Marie please visit her Charity Giving Page -www.charitygiving.co.uk/mariefullerton
