Access Panel

Disability Shetland Access Panel meets regularly to discuss issues which affect access to the built environment, the countryside and the transport infrastructure.  We can advise individual clients or client groups about their rights and we can also advise service providers about their responsibilities and assist them in making their services more accessible.  This may include arranging a formal access audit where appropriate. 

The Access Panel is currently represented on the following bodies:-

Building Standards Focus Group

CIVIC Trust Awards Committee

Scottish Disability Equality Forum

NHS Local Diversity Taskforce
