Community Mediation Team

The Community Mediation Team was set up in September 2004 as part of Shetland Islands Citizens Advice Bureau. We provide mediation in several ways.

Community Mediation

This is an internationally recognised effective way of dealing with neighbour disputes.

Restorative Justice

This is a method of addressing the harm caused by crime that is expanding within the UK and worldwide.

Restorative Acceptable Behaviour Contracts (RABC)

Our role is to meet with those responsible for, or subject to, ASB and explore what voluntary measures individuals may need to enable them to find ways of moving forward positively for themselves.
