Many thanks to the Cree-Hay family for hosting one of our best days out ever - super area for a hack and even the snow shower didn't dampen our spirits. Thanks especially James for the warming soup and beautifully laid table and Bob for helping the elderly and infim aboard!

A big thank you to everyone that helped over the last few days with Alison Fellows. Everyone has learned so much and have things to work on till her next visit.

The show on Thursday night was good fun and very informative and the jump league with fun classes was a great way to finish off the weekend. Shetland has never managed to hold a show through the winter!!

Also a big thank you to Annette for organising the whole event.

Just to say its been a really good weekend with the Allison Fellows clinic, the Ridden & WH show on Thursday night and the jump league and jump classes on Sunday. So good to be able to continue to do these kind of events through the winter months and its all good experience for the horses too

My Orkney experience was amazing especially riding the Marches on Sunday. I was apprehensive before going but the Orkney folk were wonderfully welcoming and generous hosts. Best of all; Ant wasn't a 'brat' and did me proud!

Great to see so many folks at the Ride of the Marches. We hope you all enjoyed yourselves and the you can manage again next year. It was especially lovely for us to see our old pony Paddy along with Graham, Ester and Kristen. Hope you all got home safe and sound. See you next year - and mind on to stay for the party!!

Camp was excellent for Emma and Thea. They both learned a lot and gained in confidence - I had fun too. A huge thanks to everyone, especially marianne for making it a memorable weekend.

Hi,
Just wanted to say a very big thank you to everyone who contributed to the Junior Camp weekend. I think I can confidently speak for everyone and say it was a great weekend full of fun, laughter and learning for all the bairns. I think it is so important that we continue to offer events like this for the youngsters and keep the enthusiasm for horses and riding alive in the future generations - maybe they can go on to achieve more than we could hope for!

Thanks again, especially to Marrianne who is such a good chair and dedicated to all the clubs members.

Anton may be a 'brat' (to quote Allison Fellowes!) but the time I've spent in and around the SRC since joining has been invaluable to us both. The knowledge and confidence I've gained - especially since Allison's visit- are starting to make a difference. After Allison,the indoor school has been the most significant help to me in trying to sort out his yobbish behaviour.

Ant is still a brat but he's becoming a slightly more manageable teenaged yob!

I had a lesson from Allison Fellows at the weekend and it was fantastic! i learned alot and am working on it at home, I find it amazing that we now have the facilities to ride all year round - everyone with horses/ponies up here should try it!! you'll be pleasantly surprised!!!

Everyone who took part in the Jumping League on Friday and/or the Allison Fellows clinic over the same weekend I am sure will join me in saying what a good 'horsey' weekend this was! Its fantastic having the facilities to enjoy our horses, and the sport, all year round, and not just the summer months!

What a superb weekend!! Allison Fellows has done a great job with the riders who booked lessons - you can really see the difference in both the riders and the horses - well done to everyone.
The Junior day was a great success - especially the instruction in building, walking and riding a course of jumps.
She gave the school a A+ pass for size, height and surface and especially liked the kicking boards!

Again, another successful jumping league night! 10 horses on the first night of the league and 21 horses on the 2nd league night! Everyone enjoyed themselves and those who had never seen the indoor facility (now with lights!) certainly seemed very impressed with it!
P.S - congrats to Angela and Kevin on the birth of Matthew!
