The Shetland Befriending Scheme offers a one to one support service to young people and young adults aged between 7 and 25. Our volunteers befriend individuals who can benefit from some additional support. There are a whole range of reasons why a young person or adult may want to be part of our scheme but all can benefit from taking part in lots of different and exciting activities.

There are two members of staff at the Befriending scheme who will be happy to assist you in any way they can

Lynn Tulloch is the full time Project Co-ordinator of the service who runs the children and young people side of the service that caters for those aged 7 to 15.

The Development Worker is responsible for the young adult section that supports 16 to 25 year olds

The Shetland Befriending Scheme is a voluntary organisation, managed by the Shetland Council of Social Service and working in partnership with a variety of local and national agencies. We would like to thank those who financially support the running of the scheme.
