Thursday 13th May and Friday 14th May 2010 Dunblane Doubletree Hotel
Thanks to funding awarded by the Scottish Executive, The Coalition of Carers in Scotland is able to offer the above course, free to carers.
The course is designed for carers who are interested in becoming involved in local strategic planning groups in the future. It will be facilitated by staff dfrom Aberdeen Carers Centre, who have run several successful programmes in the past. Amonst other things it will look at:
- Looking after yourself
- Preparing for meetings
- How to deal with feelings - yours and others
- How to influence at meetings
- Practical techniques for planning
- Howcan you represent all carers
- How and what to feed back
There will also be plenty of opportunity to relax and enjoy the leisure facilities at the the Doubletree Hotel, formerly the Dunblane Hydro Hotel, Perth Road, Dunblane, FK15 0HG. Transport will be provided from Dunblane railway station.
There are up to two places on the course for each member organisation, to allow carers the opportunity to share their learning with someone else from their own area.
