Great to hear that you are coming to Shetland in Mid Summer... super time to come here... hope you enjoy the rally... but as you probably know we have a super coastline too.. our 2010 Symposium is from 02/05 July and it is followed by our informal but totally fantastic Unst meet the following weekend with many people paddling to super locations in the week between the two... lots of info will be appearing on the website in the next few weeks... if you can't bring your boats with you... its not a problem.. you can take out a temporary membership with the club and use club boats and gear while you are here at extremely reasonable prices... My partner and I are paddlers and hope to be up in Shetland around midsummer this year, either for pleasure (staying on after the m/cycle rally) or with work. I was wondering whether you could let me have info on this year's symposium - we'd like to attend if we're up there.

09 February 2010 Although it initally did not look possible, with very little swell and a low tide we managed a passage through the at gap Fografiddle near Giltarump on Sunday. Is this a first or has anyone been through previously. Photo in Gallery. Arthur
