Asthma UK attend the AGM in Market House

Elaine Carnegie from Asthma UK made the time in her busy schedule to attend the AGM of MHAT in June.

WHAT WE`VE BEEN UP TO

THE MARC HUTCHISON ASTHMA TRUST HAS CURRENTLY RAISED £890 FOR ASTHMA UK THROUGHT SELLING WRISTBANDS, BAGPUSS PIN BADGES & SOFT TOYS.
 

MONEY RAISED THROUGH OUR 2006 SPONSORED WALK/RUN, COLLECTION BOXES, BAG-PACKING AND THE MANY VERY GENEROUS DONATIONS FROM INDIVIDUALS, GROUPS, BUSINESSES AND COMPANIES HAS SEEN OUR BALANCE AT 31st MARCH STAND AT THE AMAZING SUM OF £20014.

THE MARC HUTCHISON ASTHMA TRUST WANT TO ENSURE THAT ALL MONEY WILL BE USED WHERE IT IS MOST NEEDED.  THROUGH DISCUSSIONS WITH HEALTH PROFESSIONALS, NECESSARY EQUIPMENT TO AID DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES ALSO LIFE-SAVING EQUIPMENT HAS NOW BEEN IDENTIFIED FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH ASTHMA, COPD AND RESPIRATORY RELATED ILLNESSES (watch press for purchase update).

SPONSORED WALK `07

ANNUAL SPONSORED WALK
Saturday 21st July, saw 70 people participate in our sponsored walk from Brae to Lerwick. Two teams covered the route with team 1 walking fron Brae to Nesting (11miles), team 2 was from Nesting to Lerwick (10 miles but with hills) A BBQ was held at the Staney Hill hall after.
A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL WHO GAVE UP THERE TIME, SUPPORTED US  AND HELPED IN ANY WAY (SPECIAL MENTION TO MR  P. LEASK OF LEASKS OF LERWICK FOR DONATING THE BUS AND DRIVER, GRAYS FOR THE WATER AND ALL DONATIONS RECEIVED.

CHARITY FOOTBALL MATCH

Organisers M Johnson & M Groat held a charity football match on Saturday 21st July at Clickimin hockey pitch, Hibs won the first year and was presented with "MICHAELS CUP". The money raised at this very enjoyable event was the amazing sum of £713, this year donated to our charity. Thanks to both Michaels and Sharon and all who participated on the day.
