Access Panel

Disability Shetland Access Panel meets regularly to discuss issues which affect access to the built environment, the countryside and the transport infrastructure.  We can advise individual clients or client groups of their rights under part 3 of the Disability Discrimination Act and support them in realising these rights.  We can also advise service providers about their responsibilities under this legislation and assist them in making their services more accessible.  This may include arranging a formal access audit where appropriate.

Scottish Disability Equality Forum
