Recently redecorated and under new committee-management, Bridge End Outdoor Centre hope to meet all your requirements and expectations.

Providing self-catering facilities for parties of between 6 and 26 people seeking outdoor activities with an educational purpose and for self-improvement.

There are full kitchen and dining facilities, and a comfortable sitting-area. The kitchen/dining and sitting areas are separated by a folding partition which can be opened to provide a single large area for lectures, recreation, etc. There is a range of audio/visual equipment, which can be made available upon request (day hires will incur a small charge for this use).

There is a fully equipped laundry and drying room, and toilets and showers with disabled access.  Heating is by electric storage heaters in the public areas supplemented by panel heaters in the dormitories should it be required.

There is also a marina with visitor berth facilities attached to the grounds of the Centre, and a slipway and pontoon giving sheltered access to the water. Immediately to the south of the main building is a small level grass area suitable for camping. 

The surrounding area is very tranquil and lends itself to relaxing by the water's edge.  With beaches nearby, and coastal areas which are ideal for walking and birdwatching, this truly is a paradise for holiday-makers. Although we are in a rural location with wildlife all around, a 15-20 minute drive will take you to Lerwick, Shetland's main town.  Two golf courses, two Leisure Centres and many more attractions are within a 14 mile radius.
