Climate Challenge Fund
23 August 2017

Following the Climate Challenge Fund Information Surgery in Lerwick last week, please find below details of CCF funding deadlines and sources of further information:

Applying for CCF funding

Community-led organisations from across Scotland are invited to apply to the Scottish Government’s Climate Challenge Fund (CCF) for funding to support local projects that tackle climate change.

CCF grants of up to £150,000 per organisation, per year, are available for projects taking place between 1 April 2018 and 31 March 2020.

If you are considering applying for a CCF grant we advise you to submit an Expression of Interest via the CCF website as soon as possible. This will allow the maximum about of time possible to develop your application. You can view deadlines:

  • Expression of Interest - 28/8/17 by 17:00
  • Draft Application deadline - 8/9/17 by 17:00
  • Final Application deadline - 27/10/17 by 17:00

Further details on the CCF Ideas Bank, including the template submitted by Community Energy Scotland are available here.

If you are currently in receipt of CCF funding you may find it useful to speak with your Development Officer prior to submitting your Expression of Interest, which should also demonstrate how your new project will achieve additional outcomes.

CCF Development Grants of up to £1,500 are available until further notice to help community-led organisations identify and scope out potential climate action projects - with the aim of enabling the organisation to apply for a CCF grant or to another funder. Applications for Development Grants are invited monthly.

Please check the CCF website for further information on applying for funding (including criteria), planning your project, case studies and climate change.

You can also contact a CCF Development Officer on Freephone 0800 111 4461 or 01786 471333.
